America Shall be Saved

A few months ago, I wrote about Jeremy House. Jeremy House is a Christian discipleship home for men aged 18-30 named after a young man I worked with twenty-one years ago. I saw Jeremy come to the Lord in the youth shelter where I worked, completely turn his life around, graduate with honors, and receive scholarships to both the School of Mines and to Mesa State College. Tragically, Jeremy was killed during his first semester at Mesa State College. Our Board of Directors at Jeremy House and our Jeremy House Intercessors have been working to open Jeremy House the past three years. Recently, we set a goal to open by March 4, 2022. However, as I look at our projected monthly budget compared to the amount of money we have coming into our bank account each month, it is quite apparent that we need a miracle of God in order to open by that date. Of course deep inside, we know miracles are what God specializes in. Throughout the past three years, there have been times of discouragement but the Lord always pulls us up out of that discouragement and sets our feet back on solid ground. The last couple of days have been one of those times. As I was praying this morning, I was reminded of our founding Scripture from Psalms 127:1 which says, “Unless the Lord builds the House, the work of the builders is wasted.” I know that Scripture well. We recite it often in our board meetings and at other times when we pray. I have prayed it often in my morning prayer time. But this morning the Lord was showing me I need to get a deeper understanding of that Scripture in my soul. It’s not enough to have a head knowledge of it. It needs to be embedded deep in my “knower”. In my soul. If this ministry is the Lord’s, and we have told him often that it is. If it’s really his ministry, then he is responsible for the outcome. Our job is simply to do the things he lays on our heart to do and to leave the results to him. Indeed, Jeremy House will open when and as the Lord wills. If you would like to contribute to Jeremy House, you can go to our website to learn how.

I’ve prayed for America to be saved for over twenty years now. I’ve prayed for revival to come to her. I’ve prayed for restoration to come to her. I’ve prayed 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says, “If my people who are called by my Name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” I have repeated that Scripture so many times I know it by heart. But America too, will be saved when and as the Lord wills. He loves her even more than we do and he will keep his covenants with our founding forefathers. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t have a part to play. We must keep on praying and decreeing the Lord’s will over her. We must continue to stand up for our freedoms and for the values she was founded on. The Lord is sovereign. He can do anything he wants to. But he chooses to do it through you and I, his people. I believe the revival we have prayed for has already begun. But it’s a fragile thing right now. America’s revival is coming through those who pray for her and who stand for God’s principals within her. Our Nation will be saved. God will build his house in America. We will again be a beacon of light to the world. America shall be saved.
